Australia, undoubtedly, is the place where business can reach great new heights.
If you intend to transfer your business to Australia from overseas, or if you want to establish a new business in Australia, then a business visa will be required.
The visas allow several activities to be carried out for business purposes in Australia, depending on the specific 'stream' applicable to you. These streams are:
Business ownership and management – the Business Innovation stream;
Continuing with investment and operations carrying on business – the Investor, Significant Investor, and Premium Investor streams;
For Entrepreneur activities – the Entrepreneur stream.
But first, apply for a Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa subclass 188. Each stream has its eligibility requirements. This means that some might be necessarily offered to you, depending on your condition and what you seek to do in AE, as follows: The Investor stream requires an investment of at least AUD 1.5 million in an Australian state or territory and continuing business or investment activities in Australia. On the contrary, the Business Innovation stream requires evidence of having operated some business at some point and with personal and business assets with an aggregate value of no less than AUD 800,000.
Once you satisfy the eligibility criteria concerning your Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa, thoughts would arise for the application of the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888). Approval of this application will open the door to permanent residence in Australia.
There is no need to submit a new EoI or receive an invitation again to apply for a permanent business visa. However, you will need to have your nomination from the state or territory that initially nominated you confirmed as still valid. An application for a permanent visa must be preceded by the special category visa (subclass 444) holders or those needing a nomination different from that given by the government authority that nominated them for their provisional visa.
